Kalaw’s first organic farm and restaurant

We shared the dream to live a quiet life, content to simply live off the land.

Organic farming

This newly opened farm is Kalaw’s first attempt at an organic paddock to plate restaurant. The owners Ko Ko and Chit Su bought the land three years ago and ploughed it before rolling up their sleeves and planting a mixture of cabbages, carrots, mustard greens, strawberries and more seasonal fruits and vegetables. You’ll see the couple working in their field for most of the day and running over ready to serve you the freshest produce just picked from the morning. Although you can’t currently buy organic produce to take home you can enjoy whatever is in season for a lunch or dinner in between trekking around town. “We shared the dream to live a quiet life, content to simply live off the land.” Ko Ko says.

Middle of nowhere

This spot feels as if you are in the middle of the forest as it is on a quiet corner facing the mountains, despite being only 15 minutes’ walk from central Kalaw.
