iSee Tap Seac Square

Heritage square with cutting edge art gallery

Tap Seac Gallery

This small art gallery in the corner of the square is often overlooked. But if you’re into modern art, don’t miss it. Before it became a gallery, the historic building was a mansion home to an upper crust family. Its Portuguese façade of wooden shutters, red brick walls and Moorish arched doors provide a perfect antidote to the exciting collection of contemporary and avant-garde art.

I really like the lively atmosphere here, there are many celebrations and festivals, and it is my pleasure to do cultural work here.

Underground world

The 200 meter U-shaped traffic tunnel under the Tap Seac Square probably is one of the shortest traffic tunnels in the world. It was originally designed to give space to a light rail station, which was later called to a halt.
