Pagoda turned fire station

Mysterious pagoda

This temple has been abandoned before World War II. Legend has it that during the war, soldiers and locals dug a hole around the pagoda in search of treasures, which later became a pond. The pond was used to raise livestock and pets and it also was a popular playground for the local kids, filled with water plants.

Heritage listed pagoda

In the 1960’s the pond was filled and new houses were built. Years later the Chiang Mai municipality built a fire station next to it.
