This modest place serves the best Pad Thai in town. Uncle Kaew, a former hotel chef, started making this classic Thai dish 40 years ago in Bangkok and later moved to Chiang Mai to start his own little street restaurant.
Uncle Kaew goes to the market every day to select fresh ingredients. The secret of his Pad Thai is the marinade, he uses tamarind juice instead of the usual vinegar.
