This lovely Joglo complex is the home of Kotagede’s thriving local heritage community. The pride of Ndalem Ngaliman is the well-stocked library that was built with the help of the Java Reconstruction Fund after the earthquake. Open every Sunday it has become very popular among locals for books or a friendly chat.
Traditional dance
A great place to see Yogya royal dance away from the crowds. Local girls practice here under the pendopo! A unique chance to quietly observe what it takes to acquire the skill and grace. Children classes are every Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-6 pm.
