More than just a physical space, MULA is all about connecting communities. The main goal is to support an ecosystem of small industries and start-ups in the Old Town surrounding. MULA welcomes its neighbours for dance classes, language courses and coaching clinics.
Pray and work
Supported by Bank Indonesia, part of the top floor is reprorposed into a communal prayer room for local residents.
Gedung Rotterdamsche Lloyd
Built in 19th century as a department store Van Vleuten and Co was the biggest shopping destination in town in those days. The second floor used to be occupied by Rotterdamsche Lloyd, a Dutch shipping company.
