Daw Aye Thant’s vermicelli soup Rahkine style

Native Rahkine

While the owner was living in Singapore, she gave money to her brother to open a restaurant with food from their native Rahkine. They source the seafood directly from Rahkine and the other ingredients from the nearby wet market. The owner has since moved back to Yangon and even now everyone who works there is from Rahkine.

Our favourites

We highly recommend their crab masala (5,500 kyat), Ko Tangar Hin Cho a spicy seafood soup (6,500 kyat), and sea food hotpot (12,000 kyat).

Nice to know

Rakhine Mont Ti is a famous dish of Rakhine State. It is hot, salty and spicy broth made with fish and handmade rice noodle. It also comes as a salad called Rakhine Mont Ti Tote. Rakhine Mont Ti is only 500 MMK. You can also order fresh seafood straight from Rakhine State just let the owner know what you would like.
