iSee Tian Gong Tan Temple

Chinese heritage in a quaint corner

Chinese settlers

This stunning temple is dedicated to the Chinese Jade Emperor God. It was first built in nearby Jl. Pa’ Abu about a hundred years ago by the early Chinese immigrants from Southern China. In the 1980’s the Cantonese and Hokkien community built a brand-new temple here in Kampung Benggali.

Yellow lanterns

We love the may yellow lanterns hung throughout the temple grounds. Yellow is an imperial colour representing power, royalty and prosperity in traditional Chinese colour symbolism. The colour yellow and its shades are also the main colour of Buddhism.

Chinese New Year

Come here at Chinese Lunar New Year to experience the festivals! Thousands of Worshippers visit the temple on the third day to light incense and pray to gods for a prosperous year ahead.
