iSurprise Macau Tea Culture Museum

Macao was one of the key export hubs of Chinese tea to the west. The Macao Tea Culture Museum pays homage to this important part of the colony’s history and is an excellent introduction to Chinese tea culture. The collection includes rare pottery, packaging and an introduction to tea drinking etiquette.

The building was designed by a renowned architect Carlos Alberto dos Santos Marreiros in distinct Portuguese style, but decorated with a Chinese tiled roof. Nice example of the east-meets-west character of Macao.
