Meet the village head

Warung Coconut is owned by a local Nyuh Kuning father and son team Made (Mr. Lucky) and Gom (Mr. Music). Made, who is also the former village Bendesa (village headman responsible for religious ceremonies), is the brains behind the unique look and feel of the village today: “My family members make up almost twenty percent of the population. We care about this place, so we started the tree planting and clean-up programs. We also asked all neighbours to put stone carvings in front of their house, as a signature for our village” he says proudly.
