Northern Thai is famous for their variety of snacks. They come in all shapes and forms, sausages, fish cakes or wrapped in banana leaves. This street shop is where locals come for their snacks, 100% homemade and authentic.
What to order?
Northern sausages, or ‘Sai Oua’ in Thai, is a grilled pork sausage filled with spices, with a delicious smoky flavour. Fish cakes, or ‘Tod Mun Pla’ in Thai, are deep-fried golden-brown patties with flecks of dark green in them. They are served with a red dipping sauce, flavourful but not spicy. Best eaten with sticky rice.
