Second hand books and stationery market under the bridge
Books under the bridge
Under this over a century old bridge is the old city’s popular book market. A great place to browse for books (new and second hand), stationery, paper printing and bookbinding. You will find a wide variety of genres of books here for a great price! The best part of shopping here is the amazing efficiency. No digital records here, but yet, you tell the guys the name of the book you're seeking and within seconds you will have it in your hands if they have it in stock.
There is no such thing as fixed prices on the street. Shop responsibly and respectfully, but know that bargaining is part of the fun.
What’s in a name?
Fernandez Bridge was constructed by the British in 1884 across the dried up creek that is the Tankshal Road today. The bridge is named after the engineer who built it.
