Charming timber guesthouse with riverside garden

The Guesthouse

Italian-Belgium Lorenza came to Thailand as a little girl with her father. After spending some years in Chiang Mai, she fell for the charms of a handsome Lampang man and his city. She first operated the The Riverside Restaurant and when customers kept asking her for a place to stay she decided to renovate an old wooden house and open a guesthouse, the first one here by the river.

Fusion breakfast

Even if you’re not staying here, relax with a drink and a book at the comfy wooden lounge chairs by the riverside. Or try the breakfast, served all day until 6pm, an interesting mix of Northern Thai and Western favourites such as French toast with a special cereal mix of oatmeal, black sesame, shredded rice and dried fruits.

Banana and ginger jam

Created by Mrs. Lorenza herself, this sweet and rich banana & ginger jam is generously applied to every dish that leaves the kitchen. It goes surprisingly well with both sweet and savoury and has become the guesthouse’s signature. Don’t leave without taking a jar of this homemade goodness.
