A big chunk of the art that is sold on Jl. Braga is made right here, in the colourful backstreets of Kampung Braga. One of our favourite artists is the amiable Pak Herru Prayogo (@herruprayogo), who learned his craft in Yogyakarta and then moved to Bandung to continue his artistic adventure. You’ll find him on the corner of Jl. Braga and Gang Cikapundung.

Jl. Braga best-kept secret is perhaps the Kampung behind it, with green and colourful alleyways zigzagging all the way up to Cikapundung river.
In the 1990s, the government wanted clear the kampongs and build a grand promenade at the riverside. This plan was met by fierce local protests. The protestors got their way, and the intimate local neighbourhood of Kampung Braga is still there for you to explore!
