The details are part of the character; every element has a story to tell.

Heritage hotel

The old trading mansion has been turned into a 74-room boutique hotel. The huge black steel beams and a lift shaft, were incorporated into the hotel’s new modern design. By keeping these elements, the owners are helping to bring Yangon’s rich heritage and saving property that might otherwise become rubble. During the renovation the builders kept uncovering old structures, one of the project architects says: “They’re part of the character, every element has a story to tell.”
