Established by Mr. Yeung 90 years ago, now in its third generation, the shop is a classic family business model in Hong Kong, specializing in only one product. In Mr. Yeung’s case this is herbal tea, or more precisely tea-soup: dark brown home brew of Chinese medicinal herbs. The silent transaction
Mr. Yeung describes their unique retail style as ‘silent transaction’ where customers leave the money on the table while the tea is being poured, everybody is happy without words being exchanged.
