Deitta means ‘in front of one's own eyes’. An aptname for an NGO supporting documentary photography, filmmaking and multimedia production in what is one of the most photogenic countries in the world. Deitta has been part of the recent and unprecedented changes in what used to be a tightly controlled media landscape. Independent filmmakers, photographers and creatives are emerging after decades of isolation.Free press may still be in its infancy, but it’s blossoming.
